Chris Sander - Managing Director
Appointed to the board in 1996
Chris's career has over 30 years experience within the textile industry holding senior positions within the Johnson Service Group subsidiaries. Starting as van boy at the age of nine, continuing into a full time career following university, you will not meet anyone more passionate for his customers and the Textile industry. As a leading figure within the industry he is also a director of the European Textile Service Association.
Gary Collis - IT Director
Gary joined the Board in 2003 after having spent 10 years in a senior position within the Group. Educated to degree level his career started within heavy engineering and moved from there into IT. He has worked within leading software development and support environments which focused on the textile industry and has brought with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Experience which has allowed a focused effort on improving communications, streamlining procedures and increasing customer satisfaction.
Avi Kar - Finance Director
Avi joined Johnsons in 1989 and has gained an invaluable insight into the business. In 2006, Avi was appointed as Financial Director of Stalbridge Linen where he was instrumental in it’s turnaround. He brings a wealth of experience to Apparelmaster based on a sound set of commercial and financial skills
Derek Usherwood - Operations Director
Derek was appointed to the board in January 2005. With a career that spans over thirty years within the Textile and Textile Rental Industry and 10 years in the Electronic and mechanical Engineering Industry. This experience allows focus on improved production and logistics methods, utilising today's technology to provide better customer service improved communications the ability to diversify to meet our customer needs whilst providing increased well fare for our staff.
Mark Rue - Sales & Marketing Director
Mark was appointed to the board in September 2008. Mark has been associated with the textile rental industry for over 18 ½ years, and has been involved with Regional and National Sales development specialising in Motor Trade, Pharmaceutical/High Care food accounts and, more latterly, in the Hospitality sector.
