UK’s first for RABC hygiene standards

The Johnsons Apparelmaster plant in Uttoxeter has become the first UK textile services provider to be successfully validated to the European standard BS EN 14065:2002 (RABC)
This European standard is aimed at garments supplied to pharmaceuticals, food, healthcare and cosmetics industries, offering a powerful technique to perform a risk analysis to achieve a constant microbiological quality of the processed garments.
With a proven system in place, this new RABC implementation will ensure that soiled garments entering the laundry contaminated with varying numbers of micro-organisms are decontaminated using a disinfection process ensuring the highest quality of garment cleanliness.
